School of Engineering

Established in 1958, the USJ-R School of Engineering is one of the oldest academic units of the University of San Jose-Recoletos. From its humble beginnings with fewer than fifty students, the school has grown into a premier institution recognized for producing highly competent engineers who are technically proficient, ethically grounded, and socially responsible.

Guided by the principles of Outcomes-Based Education (OBE), the school continues to foster strong collaboration with its stakeholders—including industry partners, government agencies, communities, and professional organizations—to ensure that its graduates are equipped with relevant knowledge, advanced skills, and a global perspective.

To complement academic instruction with real-world exposure, the School of Engineering maintains robust linkages with industries both locally and internationally. These partnerships enable students to acquire practical experience, enhance their technical competencies, and develop the values necessary for responsible engineering practice.
